The City of Angels experienced citywide celebrations after the Dodgers won a thrilling seven-match World Series championship. Supporters across the globe united with Angelenos in celebration, marking the initial time in 25 years that a team has achieved back-to-back championships.
Celebration Parade Attracts Massive Turnout
Local celebrations included a downtown parade on Monday morning, a reserved-seating event at the team's home stadium, and impromptu gatherings throughout the city.
Social media videos depict countless of Los Angeles residents flooding downtown streets, many carrying homemade signs and team flags. The team was seen traveling proudly on a open-top bus through the masses, hoisting the Commissioner’s trophy proudly.
“My focus is already about the next championship we’re going to achieve this,” the star player stated through an translator.
The parade route ended at the stadium, where the players emerged to Kendrick Lamar’s “Not Like Us,” with the renowned DJ spinning music and the artist cruising a Pacific blue classic car around the stadium’s outfield.
