Devoted fans of the pop star are calling for that a individual who breached a barrier and seized the actress during Thursday's Wicked: For Good premiere be arrested or removed from Singapore.

A viral footage shows the person identified as Johnson Wen shoving aside photographers and charging at Grande while the performers made its way down a event pathway accompanied by supporters.

Cast member Cynthia Erivo promptly pulled the shocked actress away from Mr Wen, who was observed being removed of the gathering by security officers.

Mr Wen stated on Instagram recently that he was "let go after being arrested", though official papers showed that he was scheduled to appear on the next day. It is unknown if he was formally accused.

Record of Disruptions

This is part of a pattern for Mr Wen, who calls himself a "Notorious Troublemaker", has invaded a celebrity gathering. His Instagram feed contains recordings of him disturbing other high-profile occasions, including jumping on stage at the artist's Sydney performance in earlier this year and in a similar way during The Chainsmokers concert in the same location last year.

"There needs to be action enforced against him as this is evidently a criminal offence," commented an Instagram follower, in a reply to a video Mr Wen uploaded of his act.

"This appears to be a habit... why are you not imprisoned?" another Instagram user questioned.

Followers Show Disapproval Over Ariana's Safety

Several supporters blamed Mr Wen for "re-traumatising" Grande, who had discussed suffering from trauma-related anxiety after a suicide bomb attack at the end of her spring 2017 concert in Manchester, claiming the lives of 22 people and injuring hundreds.

"The star has endured numerous terrifying experiences... including the Manchester tragedy, and you believed breaching security was amusing?" commented one more response on Instagram.

A number of attendees also faulted security officers at the Thursday event for not being adequately prepared; while others called for social media platforms to remove Mr Wen's uploads.

Aftermath and Premiere Information

In videos circulating online, Grande looked surprised when she was grabbed by the individual. Her co-stars Michelle Yeoh and Erivo can be spotted consoling her while Mr Wen was removed by staff.

Grande has remained silent on the event, and the rest of the event continued without further issues.

Many of fans had congregated in a sea of emerald and rose at the Wicked: For Good international debut in a Singapore venue, including a number who had waited for as long as eight hours before it commenced.

The film, to be launched on the 21st of November, is the sequel of a two-film interpretation of the popular stage production Wicked, which revolves around the surprising friendship between two very different witches.

The production itself is a derivative of the 1900 story The Wonderful Wizard of Oz.

Grande, who plays the good witch Glinda, was dressed in a light pink glittering gown at the event while Erivo, who acts as the villainous character, wore a sleek black dress embroidered with roses.

They were accompanied by cast member Jeff Goldblum.

The first movie, Wicked, was the most successful film of 2024 in the UK, and received ten Academy Award nods, earning two for best costume and artistic direction.
