In a unexpected collaboration that breaks traditional predictions, Ubisoft has revealed an digital partnership between Assassin's Creed Shadows and the popular anime series Attack on Titan. The unexpected Thanksgiving event runs from November 25 through December 22, including complimentary extra story content for Shadows players.

Peculiar Questline Revealed

According to the formal release, "A mysterious confrontation draws characters Naoe and Yasuke into a new quest, where hints of prohibited ceremonies and monstrous transformations echo through the shadows." The storyline introduces a "oddly dressed woman named Ada" who assigns the pair with venturing into the Crystal Cave—a important location from Attack on Titan—to rescue her companion from a secret group.

The adventure concentrates on "peculiar tests and a fearsome enemy" and is open to all players who have unlocked the Yasuke character.

Familiar Settings and Changes

The preview features the Hidden Temple from Attack on Titan reimagined as the Crystal Cave. This significant location was earlier where the Reiss royal family transmitted the Founding Titan ability through eras. The preview concludes with a striking scene showing a character, likely the captive, transforming into a Titan that looms over Naoe and Yasuke.

Exclusive Items and Extra Features

Players who accomplish the adventure will obtain an exclusive katana together with several items secreted throughout the area in secret chests. The update also contains premium Attack on Titan item packs, including:

Third Free Story Update

This update also adds the game's newest free story episode, titled "A Puzzlement."
