Based on data released by Israel, at least 98 Palestinian individuals have perished while detained starting from October 2023. A rights monitoring body located in Israel has stated that the actual toll is likely substantially higher, due to many of unaccounted for people from Gaza.

Several casualties in detention have been widely reported, including a senior healthcare leader who lost his life in confinement after 120 days in confinement.
